“OnyxBrass at Eton” is a new course created to give  brass players over the age of 18 an intensive 5-day workout in the major areas of expertise required to be a professional musician in the twenty first century.  Individuals or established groups will be encouraged to apply and benefit from the specialist tuition of not only one of the worlds foremost brass chamber groups but also, some of London’s most distinguished orchestral musicians.  This is a complete course set in the beautiful and well-equipped surroundings of Eton College where full board and accommodation will be offered.  Classes provided will be in chamber music, orchestral repertoire and solo playing .

The college’s fantastic sporting and recreational facilities will be available to all musicians on the course.

OnyxBrass is now entering its fifteenth year as an established chamber ensemble.  The members have performed not only in the UK, but also worldwide giving recitals in Germany, France, Sweden and the USA . Onyx have hosted masterclasses at all the major conservatoires in the UK as well as many in the USA.

All the members of the group, in addition to their work with Onyx, hold a principal position in a British symphony or chamber orchestra.  It is this vast wealth of experience which will be drawn upon when coaching the younger players who enroll on ”Onyx Brass at Eton”.
